6. What is the difference between plated and filled jewelry?
Gold or Rose Gold filled is an actual layer of gold-pressure bonded to another metal. Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating, as filled literally has 100% more gold than gold plating. Gold filled is much more valuable and tarnish resistant. It does not flake off, rub off or turn colors. Anyone who can wear gold can wear gold filled without worries of any allergic reaction to the jewelry. Gold filled jewelry is an economical alternative to solid gold!
NOTE: Any gold or silver plated items we make are actually electroplated which is a special coating that makes the plating last so much longer, stay bright, and not tarnish. Make sure to read our jewelry care instructions to give you tips on how to properly care for your jewelry.
7. What is Vermeil?
Vermeil means gold plating over sterling silver. For example, most of the stone bezels and druzy stones are coated in sterling silver then plated in 18 or 24k gold.
8. I placed my order and I need to make a change to it? What do I do?
